Cinecittà sound stages under the pines

Our story

A PX bought at Cinecittà

Tunnel Verde grew out of Gabriele D'Ottavi's Vespa, which came off the film sets in 1997.

The Vespa from the films

In 1997 Gabriele bought a PX from Cinecittà studios. It was a prop Vespa: it had been in several films before it came to him.

Getting it back on the road meant searching for parts across listings, forums and workshops, never sure a part would really fit. Hence the idea: one place, where the information is checked.

Why it exists

Today the passion is scattered

Anyone who wants to buy, sell or restore a Vespa searches across general classifieds, groups, forums, word of mouth, workshops and catalogues. The result is a scattered path, with incomplete data that is hard to compare.

Tunnel Verde builds a system around the scooter and its owner. The advantage is not more listings: it is better information, precise compatibility and expertise.

A Vespa lasts sixty years if the person buying it knows what they are buying.
